Derrick L. McRae is the founding pastor of the Experience Christian Center. His desire is to establish the church with a solid biblical foundation based on the faithful exposition of the Word of God. His vision includes the importance of corporate worship and an emphasis on Wednesday bible study that provide encouragement and accountability in the body. His missionary passion is to train men and women for ministry worldwide while meeting the spiritual needs of the local community.
At the Experience Christian Center Pastor Derrick reminds us weekly that you won't know what to expect from our services. His creative style mixed with diverse messages gives our members something different to look forward to.

BIO
Pastor Derrick L. McRae, hails from the humble origins of Avon Park, Florida, currently serves as the Senior Pastor of The Experience Christian Center in Orlando, FL. He is a young man of strength and integrity, and is the son of the late Eugene V. Glenn and Deitrice Glenn.
Pastor McRae grew up enjoying church and became an active participant at an early age, serving as the church drummer by the age of five. Since then, he has continued to be an active presence in the worship service.
In 1993 Pastor McRae graduated from West Orange High School in Winter Garden, Florida, then headed for Florida A & M University in Tallahassee, Florida. A life filled with an array of ups and downs, successes and failures, Pastor McRae learned to trust in the Lord with all of his heart. He has been blessed with a creative, yet energetic style of communicating the gospel to the young as well as the seasoned. His favorite scripture is Matthew 6:33 , But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Pastor McRae returned to Orlando, Florida in 1998 where he reinstated his membership with the Malone Memorial Church of God in Christ. The influence of his pastor/bishop Melton L. Scoiners proved essential to his ministerial development. Pastor McRae accepted his call to ministry in 1998 and was licensed under the Church of God in Christ in 1999. He was appointed as Youth Leader under the leadership of Pastor Derrick W. Hutchins and quickly advanced to the position of Youth Minister.
In December of 2003, Pastor McRae made another major change by joining the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Willie C Barnes. On May 10, 2004, Pastor McRae officially became the Youth Minister of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Eatonville, Florida where he served until being called to start his own ministry, The Experience Christian Center December 31, 2009. In a short period of time God has proven himself through this ministry. The Experience Christian Center is one of Central Floridas fastest growing ministries, with a focus on outreach, youth development, performing arts and worship EXPERIENCES!
Pastor Derrick is the loving husband of Taja C. McRae, they have two sons, Brailon and Derrick II and one daughter, Ms. Kayla.

Taja McRae is a dedicated women to the ministries of the Lord. She is the wife of Pastor Derrick L. McRae and the mother of 2 sons, Brailon and Derrick II and one daughter, Ms. Kayla. She is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University and Troy State University, where she received her Masters Degree in Counseling and Psychology. She also received a Registered Nurse Degree from Richmond Memorial School of Nursing. She currently works as a Guidance Counselor in the school system.
Mrs. McRae is an active member of The Experience Christian Center, in Orlando, where her husband is the pastor. She is an active member of the Orange County Alumnae chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated.
One of her favorite scriptures is Psalms 1:1-3 , which she strives daily to live out the words of that scripture. She has been blessed to spread the word of God to others through teaching Sunday School and Bible Study classes and leading the women in the Winning Womens Ministry in her local church. She has also ministered to women in seminars and workshops where she experienced the mighty hand of God working through her. She enjoys encouraging believers and unbelievers to always have faith and trust in God.
Born in Eatonville Florida to Lenard and Charlotte Pope, Brian is the youngest of three children. Ever since he was a child Brian knew that he would be working for the Lord. Since his youth, Brian studied music and preaching, and was also a Jr. Deacon.
Brian was ordained an Elder in April 2010, he is a member of the world renowned group called The Mime Boyz. He enjoys spending time with his family, playing basketball, singing, playing the drums as well as working with children and young adults. Brian has a passion and gift for Praise & Worship. He is a caring and sincere man with a big heart. Brian sites his influences as Pastor Willie C Barnes, Pastor Clint Brown and his Pastor Derrick L. McRae.
Brian is now the Worship Pastor at The Experience Christian Center. As a graduate of the International Seminary, Brian continues in his pursuit of the Lords work. One of his favorite scriptures is, Romans 8:28 "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to the will of God."
He is the proud husband of Kahjeelia J. Pope, whom the Lord blessed him with; they were wed on February 17th 2007.

Motivator, mentor, and man of God are just a few words to describe Elder Khayree N. Pender. Khayree is a native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where he spent most of his childhood. He and his family later moved to Orlando, FL. where his Christian Journey began. Upon moving to Orlando, Elder Pender attended Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Eatonville, Florida under the leadership of Reverend Willie C. Barnes.
Although initially church was not a priority at a young age, he became active in the youth department and theatrical ministries where he was introduced to the art of pantomiming as a form of worship. As a result of the passion for pantomiming, Elder Pender along with three other members formed a group thousands know of today as The Mime Boyz. Because of the dedication Khayree and the others had, it not only became a ministry, but also a brotherhood. As a mime boy, Elder Pender developed a stronger relationship with Christ and became more focused on the word of God. After years of ministering through mime, he eventually accepted his calling to preach the word of God. To gain a more in depth understanding of the word of God, Minister Pender attended the International Seminary School.
Elder Khayree N. Pender currently serves as the Youth Pastor at The Experience Christian Center in Orlando, Florida under the leadership of Pastor Derrick L. McRae, Senior Pastor. He has the passion for his ministry and loves mentoring to youth. Elder Pender is dedicated to encouraging the positive development of adolescent.
Elder Khayree N. Pender is the loving husband to Leslene E. Pender and they have one beautiful daughter together, Zoë.
